Alice Annette Boyd (Grandma Nett), 80 of Cisco passed away Sunday October 4, 2009, at her home. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bro. Stephen Forrester and assisted by Bro. Jerry Maston; burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Annette was born in Fort Worth, Texas on September 30, 1929 to Frank Forrest (Pat) Fogelin and Alice (Norton) Fogelin. Annette grew up and graduated from school in Fort Worth, Texas. She played the violin in an orchestra in her younger years. She also played the piano. She went on to become a stenographer before marrying Robert Byron (Red) Boyd, Sr. of Cisco on May 12, 1950. She was a bookkeeper for Rockwell Bros. Lumber Co. under the management of her husband R.B. (Red) Boyd for many years. She was a member of Daugherty Street Church of Christ in Eastland, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Pat and Alice Fogelin of Ft. Worth, Texas and her husband R.B. Boyd of Cisco; and a special niece, Kim (Fogelin) Wooldridge of Washington, DC.
She is survived by her two sons, Bobby Boyd and wife Glennis, Kenneth Boyd and wife Jeri all of Cisco; five grandsons, Justin Boyd of Houston, Chad Boyd and wife Lori of Granbury, Matthew Boyd and wife Jennifer of Cisco, Cody Boyd and girlfriend Courtney of Lubbock and Evan Boyd of Denton; one great grandson, Treavor Boyd of Cisco; one sister, Joan Jones and husband Lloyd of Weatherford and one brother Alex Fogelin and wife Betty of Ft. Worth.
Annette and family wish to say a special thank you to Hospice; Dr. Mark Reedy; nurses, Michael, Jeff, Joyce, Janet and Bea of Abilene for their care and concern. Also, a special thank you to the Hillside Village Quilters for their beautiful quilt.
