RANGER– Allene Coleman Palmer, 91, of Ranger passed away July 6, 2010 in Eastland. Graveside services were held Friday, July 9, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Coleman City Cemetery.
Allene was born on October 7, 1918 in Ft.Worth, TX to Frank and Ethel (Mauldin) Leady. Allene worked for the First National Bank in Coleman as a bookkeeper. She married Vernon Coleman and after preceding her in death she married Hobby Palmer. Allene lived in Coleman until 2007 when she moved to Ranger. She was a member of the Coleman Hospital Auxiliary. Allene loved to cook and was wonderful at it. She was a loving and caring person who will be missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded by her husbands, Vernon Coleman and Hobby Palmer, parents Frank and Ethel Leady, sisters, Ruth Atkins, Lucille Blakeney and Ouida Brown and brother, James Leady.
She is survived by daughters, Jill Page and husband Tom of Ranger, Jan Doyle and husband Wes of Houston, son Jim Coleman and wife Marcia of Nolensville, TN, grandchildren, Kelly Denman and husband Jon of Pearland, TX, Sarah Owens and husband Justin of Keller, TX, Scott Doyle of Houston, TX, Lindsay Roberts and husband Ryan of Spring, TX and Michael Keilberg and wife Tara of Waynesville, NC, great-grandchildren, Emma and Coleman Denman, Holden and Cohen Owens, Kia and Andrew Roberts and Annabelle Keilberg, sisters, Bille McClain of Parkerburg, West Virginia, Mary Brown of San Antonio, TX and Christine Scott of Walnut Creek, CA.
