Billie Huggins of Lone Camp

Strawn – Billie Huggins passed on Saturday July 17, 2010 at the home she loved on Palo Pinto Lake. She was born in De Leon Texas on September 20, 1931.

She moved to the Lone Camp community in 1994 from Lockney, Texas, where she was a lifelong resident.

She was a member of the Lone Camp Baptist Church where she played the organ for the past several years.  She is loved and will be missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband Fred J. Huggins of Lockney, and parents, Virgil and Myrtle Skaggs.

Billie’s surviving family include her brother, McElton Skaggs and sister, Geraldine Allen, daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Don Boswell, son, Terry Huggins, 3 granddaughters, Holly Rains and her husband Jason, Wendy Beauchamp and her husband Jake, Amy Crowell and her husband Sean; three great granddaughters, Mina Rains, Madison Beauchamp, and Dora Crowell; four great grandsons, Garrett Rains, Logan and Landon Beauchamp, Isaac Crowell.

In addition to her family are several cherished friends, most importantly, Norman Spray of Bedford, Texas and his two daughters, Rhonda and Misty Spray.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 19, 2010 at Edwards Funeral Home in Strawn from 6 to 8 p.m.  A graveside service will follow Tuesday morning at 10:00 a.m. at the De Leon Cemetery in De Leon, Texas.
