Bobby Garrett of Cisco

Bobby Garrett, 72, of Cisco died peacefully in his sleep Thursday morning at his home. He had fought a courageous battle with Emphysema and C.O.P.D.

He was the only child born to the late Welborn and Ardella Garrett.  He was born June 25, 1938, in Cisco, Texas.

Bobby graduated from Cisco High School in 1957.  He married his high school sweetheart on

December 6, 1957, and they had a great 53 years of marriage.  He was a member of I-20 Church of Christ.

He was a talented craftsman who was always coming up with ideas that made his home more handy and efficient.  He loved camping, treasure hunting, photography, and landscaping.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Caryon, and three children: Vicki Posey and husband, Curt,

Robi Garrett, Kelli Garrett and wife, Carla, all of Cisco.  He was known to his grandchildren as “Pappy”. They are, Corey Collins and wife, Julie, Kim Garrett and Ivan Hernandez, Ashli Whitehead, Shelli Garrett, Sydni Garrett, Levi Garrett, Jeremy Posey, Bailey Posey and Davy Chapman and wife, Robbi.  Great-grandchildren: Hailey, Felicity, Ryan, Madison, Michael, Miley, Rylan, Shaylei and Cade.

Jim Mcllroy and Lee Lewis will conduct the funeral service at 2:00 PM Saturday, January 8 at Cisco I-20 Church of Christ and burial in the Oakwood Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5~7:00 PM Friday at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel.

Bobby had been in Lighthouse Hospice for many months, and his family is so thankful for the wonderful care he received from them.
