Business Is Booming In Strawn

Just in time for the holiday season, several businesses have recently opened in Strawn with more set to open in the near future.

[imagebrowser id=98]The latest opening is the Tacos To Go restaurant which opened on October 25th.  Jacquelyn Parsons  had the restaurant open in the past but closed it when the demands of a growing family took over.  Now that the newest Parsons has arrived and after her building became vacant again, Jacquelyn revamped the place and reopened.  Don’t let the name fool ya’… although tacos are her specialty she offers more than just tacos.  Each day she cooks up a different daily lunch special and is bringing back her popular brisket tacos for lunch each Friday.  Tacos To Go is open Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Saturdays from 6 a.m. until 3 p.m.

[imagebrowser id=97]Scheduled to open some time this week  is the Country Dollar Store & More.  The store is located behind the bank on Housely St next to Sassy Cats Consignment Shop.   Linda Faubion has a little bit of everything in her dollar store.   From gift wrap and greeting cards to groceries and office supplies.    Linda also plans to open a sandwich bar in the space in the near future.   Store hours at Country Dollar Store & More will be from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
