Chamber Mixer Well Attended

Tuesday evening, August 17, the Eastland Chamber of Commerce held it’s August mixer at the LaQuinta Inns and Suites. A buffet of Mexican food was offered as well as tours of the new hotel along with information on LaQuinta’s many amenities. LaQuinta manager Teresa Whitsel proudly told us of the local Inn’s third place ranking in guest satisfaction with  intent to return.

Cristal Rose of the Chamber unveiled an enlargement of Texas Highway’s magazine which features Eastland on it’s cover and the Majestic as it’s “True Texas” movie palace.

United Country Smart Real Estate was the August Business of the month and owner Victoria Alvarado drew Edward’s Funeral Home out of the basket of business cards to be September’s spotlighted business by the Eastland Chamber of Commerce. Another drawing was held for a suite for two nights at LaQuinta which was won by Charlotte Speegle of Cisco College.

Next month’s event will be held on September 21 at Fullen Motor company.
