Charlotte Ann Adams of Ranger

RANGER – Charlotte Ann Adams passed from this life on December 4, 2010 at Hendrick Hospital in Abilene in the immediate care of friends and family. Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Mesquite & Rusk Church of Christ in Ranger. Burial follow in the Crossroads Cemetery directed by Edwards Funeral Home of Ranger.

Charlotte was born on May 15, 1946 in Lubbock, Texas to George Olen and Clara Mae Howton. Charlotte graduated from Richfield High School, attended Texas Tech University and graduated from Tarleton State University with teaching certification in English and Spanish.

Charlotte is survived by three children and their spouses; Steve & Mary Adams and Mark & Nicole Adams of Ranger and Kimberly & Bill Miller of Lubbock; five grandchildren, Kayla & Paul Curry, Destiny & Alyssa Adams and Shelby & Justin Miller; one great-grandchild, Caden Fisher; four sisters Mary & Jimmy Bennett, Linda & Joe Bryom, Becky Howton and Helen Howton; brother-in-law Guinn Adams and brother and sister-in-law Robert & Jane Haynes.

While having obtained her teaching certificate, Charlotte dedicated her life to being a wife, mother and grandmother, serving in the ministry of Mesquite and Rusk Church of Christ in Ranger and working with the family business enterprises in various capacities. She developed a broad network of family and friends who loved and cared about her deeply. Charlotte’s interest extended to all God’s creatures and she took great joy and interest sharing her life with the many animals that crossed her path. Charlotte’s dedication to all those her life touched on a daily basis will be greatly missed.
