Christmas Activites Around the Area

The week is full of parades and Christmas activities. Cisco, Ranger and Strawn are all wanting everyone to know that it’s not too late to sign up to enter a float or vehicle in the parade.  Click on any of the events below for more information and entry forms.

PARADES:
Thursday, December 2nd  – Cisco 6:30 p.m.

Friday, December 3rd – Ranger 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, December 4th –  Strawn 6:00 p.m.

Saturday, December 11th – Gordon 10:00 a.m.

Other area events:

The Eastland Civic League, Eastland Community Foundation, and the Eastland Chamber of Commerce are hosting, “One Starry Night” a  downtown Christmas Celebration on Saturday, December 4th, from 6-8 p.m, More Information

Strawn is having an all day “Home Town Christmas” from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m..  Retailers will be offering sales, along with a Tour of Homes from 1:00 – 4:00 p.m., Art Show/Sale at 10:00 a.m. at the Methodist Church, a Taste of Strawn throughout the day, Santa from 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. at Country Dollar Store,  Christmas story reading at the Book Nook 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., Live Entertainment at the Gazebo 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.,  Lighted Parade at 6:00 p.m. and Santa at the Park at 7:00 p.m.   Sign up at each of the Tour of Home houses or at any business in town for a drawing that will be held at 5:00 p.m. for a coupon book with over $50 in savings.   Tour of Home tickets can be purchased at Strawn First National Bank, Greyhound Pac-A-Sac, and Machacek Bakery & Market.

We welcome you to be a part of our 2010 Chamber of Commerce sponsored lighted Christmas parade!  Pick up an entry form from the Chamber office at the Conrad Hilton or at Cisco’s Brookshires.  You may also call the Chamber at 254.442.2537 and request that a form be faxed or e-mailed to you.

Theme for this year’s parade is “Country Christmas”.

Parade will be Thursday, December 2nd.

Sign-in will be across the street from Brookshires parking lot.  Line-up will be at 5:15 PM.  Judging will begin at 5:45 and parade will start at 6:30.

Immediately after the parade, children are invited to see Santa at the Hilton Community Center, 309 Conrad Hilton Blvd.
