CISCO, Texas – Third grade students at Cisco Elementary School had a special visit on the afternoon of Thursday, Nov. 12 from the Cisco Rotary Club, who came with a special gift—a dictionary for all third graders. The program is a way for the Cisco Rotary Club to present each student with their own dictionary and tell the story of Rotary.
Now in its third year, the dictionary program has distributed almost 500 dictionaries to students in Cisco Elementary. Several Rotarians helped to distribute the dictionaries, including James Ramsay, John Waggoner, Leeann Barron and Amy Evans. Other members who were unable to attend include: Del Brandt, Stewart Cleveland, John Diers, Jerry Dodson, Walter Fairbanks, Rex Fields, Caryn Greene, Craig Kent, Eris Ritchie, Greg Sellers, Colleen Smith and Billy Wright.
Members support the organization through regular participation in activities and embody the Rotary motto of service above self. They represent a diverse group of business and professional leaders who are united with other Rotarians worldwide to provide humanitarian service and to address various community and international service needs, while promoting world peace and understanding.
