Don't Look Back

This morning I read from the King James Version in Genesis 19 the story of Lot and his wife leaving Sodom and Gomorrah and the wife looking back and turning into a pillar of salt. She lost her opportunity for tomorrow. It reminded me to the time my family all enjoyed skiing and they wanted me to try it. I used a beginner’s teacher to help me learn. When we got to the bottom of the hill she said, “You will never learn to ski unless you learn to look where you are going instead of where you have been.” She was right; I was so busy looking to see who might be going to run over me I did not look down. Look up and look ahead and see what great things God wants to do in your life.

I ask that you try to remember the times you missed some great opportunity because you were focused on the past instead of the future. Remember this one thing; you are not alone, every one of us is guilty of doing exactly that on a regular basis.
