KATX, ALL TEXAS 97-7 is honored to have been selected as the Eastland Chamber of Commerce business of the month for July of 2010. The All Texas Broadcast Center, continues a tradition of Today’s Hit Country with the right mix of Texas Country on the Morning Roundup with J.T, and throughout the day. We also strive to deliver the best local news and serve the community with the Bargain box with host and News Director Mike Cockburn.
Eastland’s first radio station launched in the summer of 1953…the call signs KERC represented Eastland, Ranger and Cisco. Almost three generation later, 1590 AM was purchased by WDS Broadcasting Company with a vision to include all of Eastland County… in 1980, the call letters were changed to KEAS. Longtime owner and operator Dan Staggs took his vision a step further to add an FM station at the beginning of 1987 sharing the same name. KEAS AM & FM quickly caught on among the listeners of Eastland County. Sadly, Dan Staggs passed away suddenly from health complications in 1997.
At the turn of the millennium, Eastland County was introduced to Partnership Broadcasting, Inc. where KATX was born, and the ALL TEXAS REGION, an encompass of eight counties. ALL TEXAS 97-7 is one of the few stations airing non-stop broadcast for more than 55 years.
To date, the broadcast center is a division of Partnership Broadcasting, Inc. continues the longstanding tradition with it’s staff of profession broadcasters including Ron Harden/General Sales Manger, J.T. Deadman/Program Director, June Graves/Traffic Manager, and Michael Cockburn/News Director.
