Eastland Man's Probation Revoked

Presiding Judge Steven R. Herod of the 91st District Court, revoked the probation of JARRETT BRAXTON DIBRELL, 27, Monday afternoon after hearing a plea of true to allegations that Braxton had violated several terms and conditions of probation. Braxton, formerly of Eastland and of late, San Antonio, had previously been placed on four years probation on June 18, 2009 for Assault Causing Bodiliy Injury – Family Member. The conviction stemmed from allegations that he had hit his wife in the face. Braxton had a prior misdemeanor conviction for Assault – Family Violence out of Bexar County, Texas. Criminal District Attorney Russ Thomason caused the Eastland County case to be filed as a felony by using the prior out of county conviction. The Court sentenced Braxton to four years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division. Assistant Criminal District Attorney Bill Dowell prosecuted the case. Defense Attorney Jon Henley represented Braxton at trial.
