EASTLAND, TX – The citizens of Eastland are being urged to conserve water at this time due to a major break in the main water supply line that feeds the city from the Eastland County Water Supply District.
At first report it was believed the repair would be short in coming, but after further investigation the issue is more severe A permanent fix will take several days.
At this time a temporary patch will be made that will allow the filling of the standpipe storage atop Park Hill, as well as the million gallon tank on the eastern edge of town. This should take from 24 to 48 hours to complete.
Once the filling is complete the main supply line will be turned off until a permanent fix is completed.
Citizens are being urged to curtail any unnecessary water usage until this issue is completely resolved.
