Edith Wampler of Eastland

EASTLAND – Edith Wampler, 89, of Eastland, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010 in Eastland.  Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Edwards Funeral Home Chapel with Rex Boggs officiating.  Burial will follow in the Plum Branch Cemetery, in Stephens County.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
Mrs. Wampler was born June 18, 1920 in Stephens County to Jasper & Elpha (Brown) Bloytt.  She married William Wampler in November, 1941 in Breckenridge.  She was a member of the Gunsight Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing and playing the piano and used that gift as part of a group that entertained residents at various nursing homes.  She was preceded in death by her husband as well as her son, Tony Wampler.

Survivors include her daughter-in-law, Delanna Wampler Allen of Gonzales; sister, Marza White of Abilene; grandchildren, Kyle Wayne Hines Wampler, Dakota Rio Wampler and Shiloh Callaway Wampler all of San Antonio; and numerous extended family and friends.
