Horace Gale Nunnally, 85, of Cisco passed away on Saturday, February 20, 2010 at Abilene Regional Medical Center. Visitation with family and friends will be 5:00-7:00 PM Tuesday at Kimbrough Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services, officiated by Reverend James O. Teel, will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 24, 2010, in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home.
Mr. Nunnally was born in Rising Star, Texas on June 2, 1924 to Thomas Jefferson and Elizabeth (Montgomery) Nunnally. He served in Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Ruby Nell Whitehead of Cisco on January 25, 1947. He worked for General Dynamics as an aircraft machinist.
Mr. Nunnally was an honest, hard-working, simple man who loved Jesus. He was content to take his wife and teach his daughters how to camp, hunt, fish & water ski which they loved as much as he did. He adored his wife and girls. He cherished and protected them, and they all cherished and adored him as well.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Nunnally, of Cisco; daughters, Gayla Robinson and husband Irvin, Cindy Kersey, all of Putnam, Kelly Stowbridge of Cisco; brother, Bob Nunnally and wife, Joy, of Abilene; brother-in-law, Jim Whitehead, of Cisco; sisters-in-law, Ruth Whitehead of Abilene and Eleanor Nunnally; grandchildren, Burke Robinson, T.J. Kersey, Stacy Watson, David Lee Stowbridge, Jennifer Renee Stowbridge; great grandchildren, Brittainy Graham, Sierra Robinson, Kaitlyn Robinson, Ashton Shuck and Robert Lee Stowbridge. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Alton (Son) Nunnally, and Ray Nunnally; sisters, Geneva Wallace and Ruby Bailey, and a grandson, Russell Robinson. He will be greatly missed by all including nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
