IGA in Ranger Robbed

According to Ranger criminal investigator Officer Weyland Talafuse, Sunday night a masked white male arrived at the IGA store in Ranger around 8:00 p.m. as they were closing and robbed the store at gunpoint.  There were no customers in the store and only two employees were in the store though only one employee was present when the robbery began. At some point, the second employee approached which seemed to startle the robber and the robber fled the store with an undetermined amount of cash.

There were no injuries and no shots fired. Police are following up on several leads.

In a similar incident, last Tuesday an armed robbery took place at Taylor Center on Hwy 6 and I-20 in Eastland as that store opened.
