Janet Hollander, age 53, passed away July 5, 2009 at Hendrick Hospice in Abilene, Texas, following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Janet requested to be cremated, but a small memorial service will be held for her at Summers-Chambers Funeral Home Chapel in Cisco this Saturday, July 11, 2009 at 10 a.m.
Janet Hollander was born September 23, 1955 in Denver, Colorado. She and her twin brother were the youngest of six children. Janet was a kind and compassionate woman who loved God with all her heart, and although she fought
hard to stay in this world and be with her children, she knew her Savior waited for her beyond this life. She will be deeply missed by her children and grandchildren. Mrs. Hollander is survived by her four children, Charity Griffin, Crystal Rains, Steven Coslett and Cody Coslett, all of Cisco; and her eleven grandchildren, Jameson, Tiffany, Taylor, Cole, Kelsee, David, Gabbie, Carson, Jon, Haden and Kiki. She is also survived by her sister, Regina Cartwright; her older brother, James Jennings and her twin brother, John Jennings; her brother-in-law, Tommy Hollander and her three stepchildren, Shiela, Danny and Shawn; along with various nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Hollander; a brother, John Wayne and a sister, Lynn. Janet’s family would like to thank all the people that touched her life during this struggle with special thanks to Hendrick Hospice, Dr. Mark Reedy, Mrs. Betty Jones and Ms. Renee Gary.
