King Kong Water Project Update

For the week of October 25, 2010 crews will continue with work along South Madera as they install services and taps followed by pressure testing and disinfection of the new 6 inch main water line.

Crews will also continue disinfection, testing and service installations along Plummer Street.

Additional crews will continue performing tie overs along West Valley.

Curb and patch crews will be working at the intersections of East Conner with Seaman and Bassett; South Marsh between Sadosa and Conner; South Halbryan between Conner and Pershing; and East Plummer between Bassett and Seaman.

Phoenix Fabrication crews continue with work at the new water tower at the city park. Watch for large, heavy equipment, workers, and signage when in this area.

AT&T cell phone customers may see disruption of service when in an area to the south, southeast of the new tower. AT&T antenna located on the existing water tower may be blocked by the newly erected tower. These interruptions may be experienced until early 2011 when AT&T equipment is moved to the new tower.

Residents and businesses in any of the King Kong Project areas are reminded to always keep a good supply of drinking and flushing water on hand in the event your service is interrupted.
