Kong Continues to Wreck Havoc Across City

Crews will continue with the installation of the new 12 inch water main on Plummer between Daugherty and Connellee. Bore crews will also be present in these areas.

The 6 inch water main installation will continue along Marsh and should be completed during this week followed by testing and disinfection process.

Work will begin along Calhoun with the installation of a 4 inch water main.

Pressure reducing valves will be installed at Neblett and Plummer, Madera and Plummer, and Oak and Plummer. Expect up to 4 hours of service interruptions in these areas.

Tie-overs to the new main on Conner between Halbryan and Marsh will begin. Residents should expect service interruptions of up to one hour, but could be longer if necessary.

Construction of the concrete pedestal for the new water tower atop Park Hill will continue. This work will disrupt the normal traffic flow around the park at times. Please be alert to the work as you approach the site and watch for traffic flow instructions.

Businesses and residents in the King Kong Project areas are reminded to keep a good supply of fresh drinking water as well as a supply of flushing water on hand in the event of a service interruption. Crews attempt to keep the interruptions as minimal as possible, but unexpected issues could result in longer water outages.

Please remember when travelling in these construction areas to be on the alert and watch for crew members as well as heavy equipment, trenches, etc.
