Kong Leaves Mark on Water Tower; Continues on Madera Street, Etc.

[singlepic id=2524 w=320 h=240 float=left]For the week of October 4, 2010 Kong crews will continue with the laying a new 6 inch water line along South Madera from Plummer to Sadosa and residents and travelers in the area are cautioned to be observant of flag men, equipment and open cut trenches as this work progresses. EXPECT ONE LANE CLOSURES.

Additional crews will be testing, disinfecting and working tie ins along a new water main installed at the far west end of Plummer.

Additional tie ins to existing mains will continue along West Valley and testing and disinfection of a new main along West Plummer from Daugherty to Neblett.

Asphalt crews will continue working at Seaman and Conner, along College from Commerce to Railroad Ave., and on East Plummer from Bassett to Seaman.

Paint crews have completed the painting of the bowl portion of the new water tower with [singlepic id=2526 w=320 h=240 float=right]EASTLAND in black lettering along the top and with a red Maverick head below on the east and west facings sides.

Crews will return to begin the lift of the bowl to the top of the cement pedestal around October 11. Be observant of work crews, equipment, and traffic signs.

Residents and businesses in any of the King Kong Project areas are reminded to always keep a good supply of drinking and flushing water on hand in the event your service is interrupted.

Eastland City Commissioners made a visit to the construction site of the new water tower this week. Eastland City Manager Ron Holliday, Commissioners Norman Owen, Mark Pipkin, Larry Vernon, Richard Rossander and Jerry Mathews all approve of the logo work completed at that time.
