Kong Project Forever Changes Skyline;

For the week of October 11, 2010 utility construction crews will continue with the laying of a new 6 inch water line along South Madera from Plummer to Sadosa followed by disinfection and pressure testing. Residents and travelers in the area are cautioned to be observant of flag men, equipment and open cut trenches as this work progresses. EXPECT ONE LANE CLOSURES.

Crews will continue disinfecting and pressure testing of a new 12 inch water line along South Plummer from Connellee to Neblett.

Beginning October 14, 2010, crews will begin the tie over of a new water main along far West Plummer between Crestwood and Briarwood.

Curb and patch crews will be working at the intersections of Conner & Bassett, Halbryan and Pershing, on South Marsh between Sadosa and Conner, and along east Plummer from Seaman to Bassett.

Phoenix Fabrication crews raised the bowl section of the new water tower this past week and crews will continue with work on that project. Watch for large, heavy equipment, workers, and signage when in this area.

AT&T cell phone customers may see some disruption of service when in an area to the south, southeast of the new tower. AT&T antenna located on the existing water tower may be blocked by the newly erected tower. These interruptions may be experienced until early 2011 when AT&T equipment is moved to the new tower.

Residents and businesses in any of the King Kong Project areas are reminded to always keep a good supply of drinking and flushing water on hand in the event your service is interrupted.
