Residents, parents, teachers, students use caution as Kong approaches school zones!
More reports are coming in of sightings of the King Kong project throughout the city. The most prevalent area affected is along West Plummer in the vicinity of the College and Neblett intersections as crews continue with the installation of the new 12” main line.
Additional crews will be locating other utilities while boring crews will continue with work along the north side of Plummer. This work is moving to the east and will be approaching the gym and high school area in the next few weeks.
Pressure testing will be completed on South Seaman between Valley and Conner and on Conner between Seaman and Bassett followed by disinfection, flushing and tie in of existing meters to the newly installed water lines.
Boring crews will be locating utilities and drilling services on Conner between Seaman and Bassett.
Residents and businesses in the areas are reminded water service interruptions of up to one hour should be expected during the work.
Along North College Street, (FM 3101), crews will be disconnecting the old main water lines and tying in of the new 2” and 6” lines.
Please remember when traveling in these ‘construction’ areas to be on the alert and watch for crew members as well as heavy equipment.
