KTAB News will take its 5pm, 6pm, and 10pm newscasts “On the Road” during the week of July 19-23. Bob Bartlett, Lane Stone, Sam Nichols, and David Robinett will be traveling to Albany, Eastland, Sweetwater, Brownwood, and Anson for a week of live broadcasts. During the shows, the KTAB News team will highlight unique aspects of each community. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet and greet your favorite KTAB personalities in between shows.
“I can’t wait to travel all around the Big Country and meet everyone,” said KTAB’s newest anchor, Lane Stone. “Everyone has been so nice since I arrived. This is a great opportunity to personally say thanks for such a warm welcome.”
Here’s the lineup of dates and towns for the tour:
* Monday, July 19 – Albany, Courthouse lawn
* Tuesday, July 20 – Eastland, Downtown square
* Wednesday, July 21 – Sweetwater, Newman Park
* Thursday, July 22 – Brownwood, Depot District

KTAB’s “On the Road” tour doesn’t end with live newscasts – that’s only the beginning. KTAB will be providing free food, live music, entertainment, games, prizes, pony rides, inflatable attractions, and much, much more!
“We aren’t just bringing the news,” said KTAB General Manager Eric Thomas. “We’re bringing a carnival atmosphere. This is our way to say thanks to some of KTAB’s most loyal viewers.”
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m. each afternoon and the festivities will conclude after the 10 p.m. newscast. Abilene country-rock star Zach Harmon will be the headlining performer through the tour. He’ll take the stage around 9 p.m. Local acts from each of the towns KTAB visits will perform around 7 p.m.
