RANGER – Launette Veal, 80, passed away April 5, 2010 in Humble, TX. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 8 at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 7 from 4 to 6 p.m. Burial will follow at Alameda Cemetery.
Launette was born in Gorman, TX, June 26, 1929 to Faughn and Oma (Wilson) Shook. She graduated from Azle high school. She later moved to Ft. Worth and then to Ranger where she lived for more than 30 years. She married Howard (Jack) Veal on June 16, 1956.
Launette was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church. A lifelong home maker, she was a loving and caring lady who loved to spend time with her family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, Jack Veal, in 2005.
She is survived by her sons, Donny Veal and wife Linda of Austin, TX ,and Jimmy Veal and wife ILO of Splendora, TX, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, sister Vonnie Mainka of Andrews, TX and brother Burl Shook of Gorman, TX.
