EASTLAND, TX – A major water line break between the City of Eastland and Eastland
County Water Supply District has created a usage alert according to Eastland City Hall.
“Due to a break in the main water supply line from the Eastland County Water Supply District and the City of Eastland, we are urging our citizens to curtail any unnecessary water usage at this time,” said Eastland City Manager Ron Holliday.
Holliday added the city is in no grave danger at this time as the storage tanks have a good supply, but, just to be safe, the city is asking everyone to stop any unneeded watering such as lawns, car washes, etc.
“We hope the issue will be resolved by nightfall,” Holliday added, “but anything can happen and we just want to be prepared.”
