New Businesses Open in Eastland

Three new businesses have opened their doors in the last couple of weeks in Eastland.

The Movie Mall
1404 E. Main St.

The Movie Mall in the former Movie Gallery building, is taking up where Movie Gallery left off.  Paul and Amy Green of Cisco have brought movie renting back to those who enjoy something better than the vending machine experience.  You can continue to stroll the aisles reading the back of the movie boxes and choosing from over 15,000 dvd’s they have in stock.  They also offer Blue Ray and video games for Xbox, PS2, PS3 and others.  The Movie Mall is open Monday through Friday 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.  Saturday 8:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. and Sunday Noon – 8:00 p.m.

Mr. Jim’s Pizza
1001 E. Main St.

Mr. Jim’s is a franchise held by Rick Sessums who also has the Breckenridge Mr. Jim’s.   Mr. Jim’s open last Friday in the former Pizza Inn building on Main Street and their business hours are Monday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. – 11:00 p.m.   They are closed on Sundays.  They have their lunch buffet from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and an evening buffet on Mondays, Friday and Saturday from 5:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  They offer delivery to the Eastland, Ranger and Cisco areas with a higher charge for the areas outside of Eastland.

Stopping by to try out their buffet, I found it to have a good selection of delicious pizza.

Kara Johnson and Lisa Cahill  teamed up to open The Commerce Street Floral at the corner of Commerce St. and Seaman St.   They opened the doors on May 1st just a week before one of the busiest times for a flower shop,  Mother’s Day.   The tastefully decorated outlet offers gifts, candles, a 12 minute tanning bed, as well as offering floral services.   The store hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.  You can reach them by phone at 254-631-0072
