Plenteous Harvest and Willing Laborers

by Wanda Lee Beck Skinner

Matthew 9:37-38 King James Version “Then saith He unto His disciples, The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few. Pray ye therefore the Lord of harvest that He will send forth laborers into His harvest.” The fruit on the trees in the beautiful orchard were ready to be gathered. The owner got ill and was unable to pick the fruit. This was his source of income of the year. He was in a dilemma.

He heard a noise and looked out his window. Several neighbors from the community arrived, went into the orchard and began carefully picking the fruit. They completed the task and carried the fruit to the market. Their kindness provided the man with hope and gave him his income.
Life is filled with this type of laborers. Look around and see if there is a labor of love that you are capable of doing. Someone is praying for the Lord to send the hope you are able to provide.
