Probation Revocation Nets Man 30 Year Prison Sentence

Presiding Judge Steven Herod of the 91st Judicial District Court revoked the probation of JOSUE ANTONIO WILLIAMS, 31, on January 20, 2010 after accepting a plea of true to allegations that Williams had violated his terms and conditions of probation. Williams, a Taylor County resident, had previously been placed on ten years probation on August 28, 2008 for Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance: Cocaine. The arrest was a result of a DPS Narcotics Investigation from a traffic stop on Interstate 20. Judge Herod sentenced Williams to thirty (30) years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice – Institutional Division for violating the terms and conditions of his probation. Williams is now awaiting the disposition of other drug charges in Taylor County.
