Fifteenth Annual Night`Time Lighted Christmas Parade
6:00 Friday Evening, December 3, 2010
Theme ~ “A Big Texas Christmas”
This year’s parade featuring Hardin-Simmons University Six White Horses and Cowboy Band, will begin at the park at the end of West Main Street, proceed down Main Street to end at the Roaring Ranger Museum. The HSU Cowboy Band will perform at the Gazebo in Ranger’s Texas Ranger Park immediately following the Parade.
This is a night-time parade. ALL entries must have some type lights (Walking groups, Bands, etc. may have lights on hats or clothing.)
Lineup at the Swimming Pool Park area will begin @ 5:00 P.M., and entries need to be in place by 5:30 P.M. for Judging. Awards will be given from the review stand. It is our wish to make each year’s parade bigger and better. Your entry will help make the 2010 Christmas Parade a successful event for all!! PLEASE DO NOT INCLUDE SANTA in your entry. Young and old alike will wait and watch in anticipation for the Ranger Volunteer Fire Department’s big red fire engine that will bring the One Santa Claus down Main Street. Remember Santa will visit with the children, hear their wishes and give them a bag of goodies.

In order to prepare lineup positions and assign participant numbers, ALL ENTRY FORMS MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THEN TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 23, 2010 at Ranger Historical Preservation Society, P.O. Box 320, Ranger, Texas 76470, or forms may be faxed to 254-647-3824 or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. All entries received by this date will be mailed a map including their entry number and lineup position. Need more info? Call 254-647-3340, leave message for return call.
Late entries will not be turned away, but will have to follow at the end of the parade.
Bands and other non-motor groups will be walking, so all motor vehicles PLEASE proceed very slow, 5 mph, keeping 30 feet (about two car lengths) between you and the entry you are following, and remember to STOP at the review stand to be announced to the crowd. Also ~ Someone might even want to take a picture of your float!
For safety reasons, everyone is requested ~ PLEASE DO NOT THROW CANDY or OBJECTS OF ANY KIND from your entry. Remember Santa will have “goodies” for all the children who come to visit him. The Ranger Historical Preservation Society (RHPS ~ CTHGP) will not be responsible for Any Accidents or Damages.
