Ranger City Meeting Agenda

Notice is hereby given that a Regular Meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Ranger, Texas will be held on Monday April 26, 2010 at 5:30 p.m. in City Hall, 400 West Main Street, Ranger, Texas.  The following subjects will be discussed, to wit:

Agenda Item 01:  Call to Order- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 02:  Roll Call- City Secretary

Agenda Item 03:  Citizen’s Presentation- At this time, anyone on the list will be allowed to speak on any matter other than personnel matters or matters under litigation, for a length of time not to exceed THREE minutes.  No Council/Board discussion or action may take place on a matter until such matter has been placed on an agenda and posted in accordance with law

Agenda Item 04:  Discussion/Approval with possible action to set the fourth Saturday in October as an annual event called “Day of Champions”- Ranger College Representative(s)

Agenda Item 05:  Convene into executive session pursuant to Texas Government Code, Section 551.074 to deliberate the appointment, employment, evaluation, reassignment, duties, discipline or dismissal of a public officer or employee:

(1). Concession Stand employment
(2). Swimming Pool Manager
(3). Lifeguards

Agenda Item 06:  Reconvene into open session to take action as deemed appropriate in the City Commission’s discretion regarding:

(1). Concession Stand employment
(2). Swimming Pool Manager
(3). Lifeguards

Agenda Item 07:  Discussion/Approval with possible action concerning opening a Business (charge) Account at Wes-T-Go for the City of Ranger- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 08:  Discussion/Approval with possible action concerning opening a Business (charge) Account at Karl Klement Ford for the City of Ranger- Commissioner Gerdes

Agenda Item 09:  Discussion/Approval with possible action concerning opening a Business (charge) Account at O’Reilley’s for the City of Ranger- Commissioner Gerdes

Agenda Item 10:  Discussion/Approval with possible action to consider the quotes to replace the compressor and/or replace the air conditioning unit for the Police Department- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 11:  Discussion/Approval with possible action concerning money for the flowers planted in front of City Hall- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 12:  Discussion/Approval with possible action concerning the Ranger Airport Manager Agreement- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 13:  Discussion/Approval with possible action concerning an update on the status of the Ranger Swimming Pool- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 14:  Discussion/Approval with possible action to set the Swimming Pool rates for the 2010 season- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 15:  Discussion/Approval with possible action to re-issue the City of Ranger Personnel Manual to all employees- Commissioner Destro

Agenda Item 16:  Discussion/Approval with possible action to consider setting new service charge rates for insufficient fund checks- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 17:  Discussion/Approval with possible action concerning the clarification of overtime in the City of Ranger Personnel Manual- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 18:  Discussion/Approval with possible action concerning the disposition of the Old Police Vehicles- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 19:  Discussion/Approval with possible action to send Mr. Tim Huckaby to Abilene on May 4th, 5th, & 6th for Waste Water Treatment school- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 20:  Discussion/Approval with possible action to send Mr. Gregory Martinez and Mr. Eric Beaver to Abilene on May 4th, 5th, & 6th for the Basic Water school- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 21:  Discussion/Approval with possible action concerning opening the “Sealed Bids” for the city owned equipment that was put out for bid- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 22:  Discussion/Approval of the minutes for April 12, 2010- City Secretary

Agenda Item 23:  Discussion/Approval of the bills- Mayor Green

Agenda Item 24:  Adjournment

I, the undersigned authority, do hereby certify that the above notice of meeting of the Governing Body of the City of Ranger is a true and correct copy of said notice on the bulletin board at the City Hall of the City of Ranger, a place convenient and readily available to the general public at all times, and notice was posted by 5:30 p.m., April 23, 2010 and remained posted for 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of the meeting.
