Remember April 30 as Day of Truth

We have just completed the fourth month of the year 2010. I read a devotion that gave me a new fact. In the early 1990’s an author M. Hirsh Goldberg established National Honest Day on April to saying that April 1st each year is celebrated with April Fool’s Day or as he liked to call it Lira’s Day. He felt that the last day of April should be Honesty day to place it on a higher plateau of truth. I think he was right and I think we should observe it every day of the year.

Proverbs 12:22 King James Version says “Lying lips are abomination to the Lord: but they that deal truly are His delight.” What a precious thought. Psalm 19:14 King James Version “Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, O Lord, my strength and my redeemer.”

Let’s begin today to make every day filled with truth but do not stretch the point of the truth that it hurts other in the process.
