Stanley Hugh Guyett of Comanche

Stanley Hugh Guyett, 72, of Comanche, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010,

at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday at Corinth Baptist Church, located between Cisco & Eastland on CR 154, ¼ mile north of Hwy 6. Reverend Benny Hagan will officiate. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Corinth Cemetery  under the direction of Kimbrough Funeral Home.  Visitation will be Friday 5~7:00 PM in the Kimbrough Funeral Chapel in Cisco.

Mr. Guyett was born in East Montpelier, Vermont on February 22, 1938 to Harold and Hazel Bertha (Jackson) Guyett.  He served for 16 years in the US Air Force during the Viet Nam War as a Sergeant First Class and then retired from the US Army.  He worked for Tracor Inc. in Austin, Texas as an Electronic Tech.  He married Dorothy Ellen Harlow on March 13, 1973 in Council Bluff, Iowa.  He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church in Cisco.   He was preceded in death by a son, James Truett Scribblen.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Ellen Guyett of Comanche, sons, Bob John Guyett of Florida and Ray A. Jones III of Mineral Wells; daughters, Darita Ellen DeDeland and husband Mike of St Louis, Missouri Wendy Page and husband Jack of New York; grandchildren, Deitra Ellen Pierce, Dalina Ellen Regero, Rachael Nicole Mossman, Catherine Campbell, Alice Campbell,  and Tye  Scribblen; several great grandchildren and other relatives.
