Summer Reading Program

The Gordon Community Library & Museum is proud to announce their summer reading program.

Participating is easy!
Register for the program at the library and receive your reading log. Participants read at theri leisure, there are no required materials and it is based on an honor system. Simply write the title of the books that you have read (or that have been read to you) from our library, have a parent or guardian sign it, and then return your log for great prizes! All ages are eligible for our program, pre school age children up to 12th grade. If you’re a resident of Palo Pinto county then you are welcome to participate! The program runs from June 18th to July 30th.

For young readers:
Story Hour & Craft Time
“Fun Day at the Library” will be on the following Fridays: June 18th & 25th and July 9th, 16th, 23rd & 30th. Join us from 10AM-12PM for story time and arts & crafts. All ages welcome! This would also be a great time to exchange your books for the summer reading program…

For advanced readers:
The “Reading Express” Goes Back in Time
Read or revisit the classics! Check one out, read it, meet to discuss (we’ll have Cliff’s Notes to help you!), and then we’ll plan a movie night to watch it!
Write Your Own Mystery
Like mysteries? Have you read all of the popular ones? Then write your own! Even plan to produce it in play form…
