Two people were killed Wednesday in a head-on collision in Eastland County, according to Texas Department of Safety Senior Trooper Sparky Dean.
A 1989 GMC pickup towing a trailer was traveling north on U.S. Highway 183 and crossed into the path of a 2009 Chevrolet Impala.
The crash was at 10:06 a.m. near mile post 334.
The driver of the Impala, Harry B. Garvin, 71, of Cisco, was killed in the crash. Peter Simas, 53, of Cisco, was also killed in the crash. He was the passenger in the pickup.
Both were wearing a seat belt.
The pickup’s driver, Russell D. Brown, 55, of Cisco, was taken to Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene with blunt trauma and was listed in stable condition.
