Valley View’s Extravaganza Was Extraordinary

Thursday night Valley View Health Care put on an event to entertain the young and old.   Ed Allcorn, who has been missing from Eastland due to health issues, has arrived back in town and is temporarily a resident of Valley View.  Along with the extravaganza was a reception to welcome Ed back to Eastland.  Representative Jim Keffer was on hand to present Ed with a certificate of appreciation for his volunteer work benefiting the citizens and the City of Eastland.

The Siebert singers started the evening off welcoming people into the lobby with Christmas songs.  As people moved into the cafeteria, the  Charles Dickens Carolers dressed in their period costumes delighted everyone with their harmony.

Randy the Magician took the stage and enlisted local citizen, Marty Daniels as well as a couple of children in the audience to help with a few of the magic tricks.  After the magic show, Randy the Magician became Randy the balloon animal creator.   Kids stood in line in anticipation of having Randy create their favorite balloon art.

Santa soon arrived on the scene and let each of the children add to his final Christmas wish list.

The weather was perfect for sleigh rides on Mark Blaylock’s no-horse open sleigh which went on throughout the evening.  Mark has been toting people around in his sleigh for 16 years and has been known to loan it out to Santa on occasion.

If anyone wasn’t in a holiday mood when they arrived Thursday evening, they certainly had to be by the time they left.
