Things at Eastland Middle School are moving fast as we move toward the final six weeks of school. You may have heard some exciting things from your students in regards to the new technology that has been installed in their classrooms. Teachers have received laptops, interactive whiteboards, document cameras, and student response Mobis. In the fall of next school year, each student will be issued a laptop that they will be able to bring home. All of this technology has been purchased through our Vision 2020 grant program. Parent participation and input are integral parts of the grant evaluation process. As part of the program, we are required to survey parents about the new technology. The survey is online and is a quick 20 question survey that asks very basic questions about the technology, and your student’s use of the technology. In an effort to ensure that all parents have access to the survey, we will have a computer lab at Eastland Middle School open on April 19th, 26th, and May 17th until 5:30pm. Please feel free to come to the lab at any time after school until 5:30pm to receive assistance and internet access to complete the five minute survey. Your participation in this survey benefits all of our students. The survey will be unavailable after May 30th.
