The City of Eastland is under a voluntary water restriction at this time due to a break in the main water supply line from the Eastland County Water Supply District.
Currently water is flowing through the weekend to the city in attempts to fill both water storage towers. Once full, the main line will be turned off and no additional water will be pumped to the city until the repair is completed. Repairs are scheduled to being on Monday, August 16.
It is very important that the two tanks get filled before Monday as this will be the only water source for the city until the repair is complete.
The city is asking for everyone’s cooperation in conserving water until this crisis is over. Please only use water that is absolutely necessary and not for watering lawns, washing cars, etc.
Remember, the water you use unnecessarily could be the water you or your neighbor could use to drink before the repair is made.

- Water conservation order in effect. No watering of lawns, washing cars or other non-essential uses of water.
The 14″ water line that supplies Eastland with water from the Water Supply District has a break that will not be repaired before Monday at the earliest. All water customers who get their water from the City of Eastland must conserve water until the line can be repaired. This means NO watering of lawns, NO car washing, and NO non-essential uses of water until the water line break can be repaired early next week.
Another message will be sent when normal use of water may resume.

Extended curtailment of water use. Major waterline break. No unnecessary use of water until further notice.
There is a major waterline break in the line that feeds water from the Water Supply District to the City of Eastland. This break affects the City of Eastland, Carbon, Olden, and the Staff and Westbound Water districts.
It is essential that all water customers conserve water until the line is repaired, which may be as late as Monday of next week. The line has been temporarily repaired in order to fill the water tanks in Eastland, and after the tanks are full, the line will be cut and a section replaced.
Until that time, please do not water lawns, wash cars, or use water for non-essential purposes.
