Crews will continue with the installation of a new 6 inch main on South Marsh between Conner and Sadosa. Traffic in this area should expect one block closures periodically during this work. Tie ins in this area could cause water interruptions for up to 4 hours.
The installation of the new 12 inch main water line along Plummer to the Park will commence with crews working their way to the west from Daugherty. Bore crews will also be working along Plummer.
Bacterial samples will be taken from the new 6 inch water line on Conner from Halbryan to Marsh as well as from the 12 inch water line installed on West Daugherty from Commerce to Plummer. Service tie overs could begin in these areas as soon as Tuesday with possible service interruptions of 1 hour or more.
Construction of the concrete pedestal for the new water tower atop Park Hill will continue. This work will disrupt the normal traffic flow around the park at times. Please be alert to the work as you approach the site and watch for traffic flow instructions.
Businesses and residents in the King Kong Project areas are reminded to keep a good supply of fresh drinking water as well as a supply of flushing water on hand in the event of a service interruption. Crews attempt to keep the interruptions as minimal as possible, but unexpected issues could result in longer water outages.
Please remember when travelling in these construction areas to be on the alert and watch for crew members as well as heavy equipment, trenches, etc.
