Where will Kong be the week of May 24?

Businesses and residents in the King Kong Project areas are reminded to keep a good supply of fresh drinking water as well as a supply of flushing water on hand in the event of a service interruption. Crews attempt to keep the interruptions as minimal as possible, but unexpected issues could result in longer water outages.

The King Kong Project will continue with the installation of the new 12 inch water main along West Plummer from Daugherty to Ammerman. Traffic in this area should expect one block street closures to thru traffic.

Bore crews will continue with their work along West Plummer while additional crews will begin making taps at the Plummer Mulberry, Conner Halbryan, Mulberry Burkett and Lamar Moss intersections.

Crews will continue with the kill outs of the old water mains along South Seaman, as well as continuing with tie-ins at cross streets. Tie overs in the 1000 block will also continue.

Crews will begin with verification of water line depths for pressure reducing valve installation at the intersections of Mulberry and White, Daugherty and White, Old Bankhead Hwy. and Main, Neblett and Plummer, Madera and Plummer, Oak and Plummer and Commerce and Daugherty.

Pot Holing will continue on South Marsh between Foch and Conner.

Construction of the concrete pedestal for the new water tower atop Park Hill will continue. This work will disrupt the normal traffic flow around the park at times. Please be alert to the work as you approach the site and watch for traffic flow instructions.
